The heaviest working month in the run
Twenty-three working days is the highest count on any sheet in the 2027 run, and March shares it with December alone. The reason is visible in the grid: the month opens on a Monday and closes on a Wednesday, so both of its ends fall inside the working week and only 8 of the 31 days are weekend.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each fall five times. Anything set at the start of the week therefore comes round an extra time before the month is out, which is the sort of thing that shows up in a rota long before it shows up in a diary.
The two grids agree this month: five rows whether the week begins on Sunday or on Monday. Only the alignment of the columns changes, and the sheet takes the same amount of paper either way. March closes the first quarter.
Printing it
The PDF is written with a real page box — 210 × 297 mm for A4, 8.5 × 11 inches for Letter — so the printed sheet measures what it claims. Set the printer to 100% rather than fit to page.
The XLSX is the file to take if the month is going to be typed into. It opens in Excel with the dates in cells and the grid as cell borders rather than as a picture, so rows can be made deeper without the drawing distorting.
