How March falls
March is the second of the year’s seven 31-day months and the one that closes the first quarter. Its place in the week numbering is unusually steady: 2026, 2027 and 2028 all open March in week 9, which is not true of most months on this bench.
In 2026 the month begins on a Sunday and ends on a Tuesday, and Sunday, Monday and Tuesday each fall five times. That year a Sunday-start grid holds it in five rows; a Monday-start grid needs six, because on that layout Sunday is the last column and the first of the month is pushed to the far end of the opening row.
That difference of one row is the commonest reason a month sheet prints unlike the one you saw elsewhere, and it is a setting rather than a fact about March. The week-start control is a pair of chips beside the sheet, and the drawing changes under your hand as you press them.
Printing it
Print at 100%. Fit to page is the default in a good many print dialogues and it scales the sheet down to clear the printer’s own unprintable margin, which is why a page that says A4 can arrive a few millimetres short of 210 × 297 mm. The PDF carries a real page box, so at 100% it comes out at the size the caption states.
Letter, at 8.5 × 11 inches, is a little wider and a little shorter than A4. On a six-row March the height is the part worth watching, since the same grid divided into six rows gives each day less depth to write in.
