Six rows either way

May 2027 Calendar

May 2027 needs six rows however the week is started, and the sheet is drawn to suit. Take it as a PDF that prints at true size, or as PNG, SVG, XLSX, DOCX or ICS.

The one month that cannot be held in five rows

May 2027 is the only sheet in this run that needs six rows whichever day the week begins on. A month that opens on a Saturday and closes on a Monday reaches past the ends of both grids, and there is no arrangement of the columns that avoids it.

Six rows means shallower boxes. The same height of portrait paper is divided between more lines, so if the sheet is going to be written in rather than ticked, this is the month to consider the landscape sheet or the large-print one instead. On a wall, at arm’s length, the difference is the one that decides whether the writing is readable from the door.

Sunday, Monday and Saturday each fall five times. That is what pushes the weekend total to 10 — the highest on any 2027 sheet, shared with January and October — and leaves 21 working days.

Printing it

A4 measures 210 × 297 mm and Letter 8.5 × 11 inches. The PDF carries a page box at the size it names, so print at 100% and the sheet comes out true; choose fit to page and the printer will shrink it to leave room for its own unprintable margin.

The PNG is the one to take if the sheet is going into a document rather than onto paper. It is a picture, so it will not rescale as cleanly as the PDF, and it is worth placing at its drawn size.
