October repeats January
October 2026 has the same shape as January 2026, fact for fact: thirty-one days, opening on a Thursday, closing on a Saturday, five rows on either grid, nine weekend days and twenty-two working ones. Thursday, Friday and Saturday come round five times in both months.
Because the day count and the opening weekday agree, the two grids are drawn identically, cell for cell — the 1st in the same place, the 31st in the same place. If January’s sheet is already on the wall, October’s will hang in exactly the same shape. What separates them on paper is the name at the top and the week numbers down the side, which run 1 to 5 in January and 40 to 44 here.
It is the month that opens the fourth quarter, and it is the last thirty-one-day month of the year to hold in five rows.
Printing it
Print at 100% rather than fit-to-page. The PDF carries a real page box, so the sheet measures 210 × 297 mm on A4 and 8.5 × 11 inches on Letter.
Since the grid matches January’s, a sheet printed for one month can be checked against the other before anything is written on it: the same boxes should fall in the same places. If they do not, something has been scaled.
