Five Fridays and five Saturdays

Nine of September’s 30 days fall at the weekend, which leaves 21 as weekdays. The month opens on a Friday and closes on a Saturday, and Friday and Saturday are the two weekdays that come round five times over.

Five Fridays is worth noticing before you rule the sheet up for anything that repeats weekly. The Friday column carries five entries and so does the Saturday column, and if you are counting boxes down a column rather than reading dates across a row, those are the two to check.

Five rows hold the month on a Sunday-start grid and five on a Monday-start one, and the sheet runs from ISO week 35 to week 39.

Thirty days in five rows leaves a handful of blank boxes, gathered at whichever end of the sheet the grid puts them. It is the third sheet of the third quarter and the ninth of the twelve.

Printing it

Send it at 100%. The page box in the PDF is real, so A4 prints at 210 × 297 mm and Letter at 8.5 × 11 inches, and the grid measures the same on paper as it does in the file. Fit to page shrinks it by however much the printer wants for its own margin, and that amount varies from printer to printer, which is the whole reason not to use it.
