How September falls
September is the third of the four 30-day months and the one that closes the third quarter, arriving after two months of 31. With February and June it is one of only three months that never ask for a sixth row in any of the three years the sheet offers, on either week start.
In 2026 it begins on a Tuesday and ends on a Wednesday, with Tuesday and Wednesday each coming round five times and the other five weekdays four. Twenty-two of its days are working days that year and eight fall at the weekend.
Week numbers, if you turn them on, run from 36 to 40 on the 2026 sheet. The 2027 and 2028 sheets both number the same month 35 to 39, so the numbers move with the year even though the row count does not.
Printing it
Print at 100% rather than fit to page, and the PDF’s page box brings A4 out at 210 × 297 mm and Letter at 8.5 × 11 inches. Fit to page is the setting that quietly costs you those few millimetres.
What the other files contain
The XLSX is a real grid of cells rather than a picture of one, so the dates land in rows and columns and can be typed over in Excel. The DOCX carries the month as a table in Word. The PNG and SVG are the drawing itself, and the ICS marks the first of each month for the whole year the sheet is set to.
